PATIENTS GIVE HIGH SATISFACTION RATES AT LHS

   Patients of Loris Community Hospital continue to be among the most satisfied in the nation, according to a survey recently conducted by Press Ganey Associates, the health care industry’s largest national patient-satisfaction survey company.  Press Ganey measures patient satisfaction among peer group hospitals throughout the country.

   Loris Healthcare System tracks satisfaction scores for inpatients as well as emergency departments at Loris Community Hospital and Seacoast Medical Center.  Press Ganey tabulated responses in their most recent inpatient survey from over 508,446 patients from 922 hospitals nationwide.  Loris Community Hospital’s overall patient satisfaction scores were better than 93% of other hospitals surveyed. 

   The survey evaluates a number of factors influencing patients during their stay, including communication with nurses, physician interaction, response time of staff and the likelihood of recommending the facility to others. 

   “We stress the importance of treating patients our patients with respect and compassion,” said president and CEO, J. Timothy Browne.  “Our goal is for every patient experience to be and positive one—and the commitment and dedication of our physicians and medical staff to meet this goal is reflected in these outstanding scores.”
