Healthcare System Key Facts
- Established in 1950, Loris Community Hospital, a not-for-profit facility is governed by a local Board of Commissioners.
- Loris Community Hospital is licensed for 105 beds, while the Extended Care Center is licensed for 88 beds.
- We have more than 120 physicians on our active and affiliate medical staff, representing 28 specialties.
- Almost 40,000 emergency patients are treated annually in our emergency departments at Loris Community Hospital, and at Seacoast Medical Center.
- Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Seacoast Medical Center, a same day surgery center and 24-hour emergency services facility, also houses over 40 primary and specialty physician offices.
- Open MRI and complete outpatient rehabilitation therapies (speech, physical, occupational and cardiac/pulmonary) are also available at Seacoast Medical Center, located in Little River.
- Outpatient rehabilitation therapies are available at our Center for Health & Fitness in Loris.
- A variety of membership based fitness programs are available at the Center for Health & Fitness.

Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance
Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance is a non-profit organization consisting of member hospitals located in southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina. The purpose of the Alliance is to provide a cooperative forum for improving the quality and delivery of healthcare to the citizens of southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina.
CCHA's mission is to provide value to its members by facilitating improvement of quality and delivery of healthcare and achievement of operational efficiencies through collaborative efforts.
